The world watched with sadness as George Floyd was held down.
“I can’t breathe” he cried as he laid on the ground.
“Let him up, man” they shouted loud and clear.
“He can’t breathe! Let him up!” Do you not hear?
His body went limp. A bright light left his eyes.
His soul left his body and George said Good-bye
Somebody’s little boy died today.
And the world looked on and had this to say….
Don’t they see us? We are human!
My Lord, they crushed his heart!
Damn pigs.
Fucking racists.
Let the fires start.
We didn’t do this! I am innocent!
Oh God bless his poor heart.
Damn protestors
Fucking looters.
Let the fires start.
Stand for the anthem!
Put your hand over your heart!
Ungrateful blacks.
Entitled whites.
Let the fires start.
Somebody’s little boy died today.
Held to the ground in the most inhumane way.
A match was lit
In the darkness
In our one collective, human heart
STOP RACISM! STOP HATRED!

I wrote this poem In honor of George Floyd who was murdered on May 25, 2020 by the Minneapolis police department in broad daylight as the world watched. www.socialworksoup.com
Teresa, I lived in the south through the 50s and 60s, not a middle class life at all, but sheltered in my world from most racial issues until I got older and could recognize the inequalities that existed. Most blacks that I heard about or actually saw were very poor. I was living in NM, I believe, in the mid-70s before I was made more aware of those who are “non-white” and were definitely considered “2nd class citizens.” These are Hispanics and Native Americans. I don’t know if much progress has been made with attitudes as far as Native Americans go, although Hispanics fare better to some degree. I have felt so much shame over treatment of Natives and Hispanics since moving to the southwest and in hindsight, of Black’s.
My heart breaks everytime I learn of these horrific, brutal issues with law enforcement. The world is a scary place.

When will it all end. It’s been going on since the moment melanated people were stolen from Africa. Its happened to Asians, Mexicans. Hell those white greedy blood thirsty jokers stole Mexican land California n bordering states, then demanded the original people to leave, stole America from the native Indians. Columbus went to the southern Caribbean n murdered the natives there, Jamaica Iraguey Indians nearly wiped out, Hitler murdered folks that look like him. What is it in the dna of a person that rises up and decides Your life doesn’t matter, how do you decide in your heart that people that are wrapped in Brown skin are worthless n dont deserve to be here. The damndest thing, before n now, folks were disappearing n dying without witnesses that would speak out. Now even with video recording the horrendous crime, people are still getting off, over n over again. NOT GUILTY. We have another huge problem, with this well planned out plan unfolding infront of our eyes, population control hundreds n thousands are dying. Have you ever wondered why any of the top officials who run the world aren’t dying. What’s makes them immune. Why did doctor Fauci announce in 2017 there will be a major virus during the Trump administration. Bill Gates, Dr Fauci. The Clinton’s are best friends, Bill n Melinda Gates are the 2nd largest contributors to the WHO, Yes T. my soul aches when l see black men being hunted n murdered, my heart grieves for Ahmad Abery n his family. Hatred, intolerance disrespect is in the human heart. Right now l believe a bigger plan is unfolding, chk out this topic it’s on YouTube and after researching it all makes sense. Marcus Rodgers ” I will not be scared of the people , Here are the facts”. Let’s go down the rabbit hole. We get distracted by everything, but we gotta pay attention. They’re trying n are succeeding in mass deaths. So we will be flocking for the cure, once vaccinated we get a prize, we now have cell phones that tract us, later it’s going to be the digitalID2020, quess who’s baby that is. Bill Gates. Back to yo our subject, these young people are not going going away a lot of them are storing up n getting ready for a revolution, they’re saying enough. Back to, population control. That was talked about n practiced on Africans in 1974, Henry Kissinger wrote a report on it.
Thank you Teresa. All mother’s listening to George has heard that cry before, and quickly intervened. I cried listening to him, knowing she could not rescue him. My heart was broken. The racist community does not realize, we need each other.
